On September 20th 2017, Puerto Rico was hit by hurricane María which left the island in total darkness (no power, no communication). This artwork was made for "Humortivator" Silverio Pérez and his new show "YO TENÍA UNA LUZ...parranda huracanada" which brings a little humor to Puerto Rico's situation and is a fun take on our traditional "christmas caroling". The idea was to use an unpolished style of illustration so that it conveys the unstable conditions in which a lot of the residents are still living in right now. It also features a cartoon version of Silverio (bottom left) along with other neighbors singing the title song "Yo tenía una luz..." but in the dark. White spaces were left for sponsor logos and other information.
